The closure of four of Chingford's long-established family shops, Warrens, Jackson & Allen, Rossi's and Faceys, is featured in this double-year edition together with visits by the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Gloucester. A tribute to the retiring Deputy Lieutenant recalls Colnel Gordon Spate's service to Waltham Forest. The centenary of Scouting and the 150th Anniversary of King's Road Infants School are featured together with the re-opening of Chingford Assembly Hall, the Library and also Larkswood Primary School by actor Leslie Phillips.

Chingford Newsreel 2005
For nearly half-a-century, the Station Road shop of Eve Dexter was noted for fine fashions for local ladies. This edition of the newsreel includes recollections of the early days. Other landmarks featured include North Chingford Methodist Church, Friday Hill House, schools at Chase Lane, Heathcote and Larkswood, the Wheelwrights pub and Tanners Pharmacy. The two hundreth anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, the sixtieth anniversary of the end of World War II and the sixtieth anniversary of the CADOS dramatic society are also commemorated.
Chingford Newsreel 2004
Organisations featured include Waltham Forest Sea Cadets, the Roya British Legion, CADOS drama society and the Friday Hill Community Association. A spectacular flower festival at the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge was also filmed plus events at the Chingford Village Festival on the Green and the Forest Festival on Chingford Plain. The change of rector at Chingford Parish Church is reported plus ributes to South Chingford newspaperman Allan Barker, Gilwell scouter Ted Gathercole and St. Edmund's churchwarden Fred Setchfield. Twentyfour items appear in the newsreel which ends with a look-back at changing Chingford.

Local Oxfam celebrates 30 years, St Anne's Church 50 years and South Chingford Congregational Church 100 years. The Parish Church spire is restored and a Forest View Convent is demolished. A Post Office, the Crown Garage and the Wheelwrights Pub/Restaurant close; Mayor Faziur Rahman dies, Gilwell Lodge opens, McDonalds suffers a major fire and the Chingford line copes with a tube derailment. The visits of the Duke of Gloucester to Chingford Old Church and Epping Forest are featured together with the festivals on Chingford Plain, Chingford Green and Chingford Day plus a jumbo ambulance comes to Chingford and Larkswood School holds a reuinon. Iain Duncan-Smith writes a novel and the latest Harry Potter book is launched at midnight at the Bargain Bookshop.

Jubilee Edition: In addition to reporting on the local celebrations and parties which marked the royal year, including the Queen's visit to the borough, the newsree records the progress of the Commonwealth Games baton through Chingford en route to Manchester. The opening of the new Larkswood Pool is also featured plus the festivals in North and South Chingford together with the blowing-down of a Chingford Hall tower block.

The fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II, the Queen's visit to Gilwell Park and the Great Storm of 1987 are but a few of the items featured. Also included are the closures of St Joseph's Convent, Winnie Bassett's haberdashery shop, Ellis printers and Chasney family grocers and restaurant.
